Translation

Translation | Interpreting
englishpanish offers translation services in over forty languages from around the world and works with scientific, literary, journalistic, financial, legal and technical specialists. We only collaborate with translators who are qualified in different fields. Furthermore, to guarantee the editorial quality of all our work, our base rate covers both translation and review of grammar and style by at least two translators, greatly reducing the risk of spelling or terminology mistakes. This second ‘filter’ is essential for guaranteeing an editorial finish. In this sense, it is very important for clients to understand the difference in quality and price between working with a single translator and working with a translation agency offering translation and review by at least two translators. Two pairs of eyes see much more than one…

TYPES OF TRANSLATION

Depending on the content of the document(s) to be translated, englishpanish will provide you with the most specialised team of translators/reviewers possible to guarantee both quality and delivery within a specific time-frame. We are lucky enough to have a large team of collaborators to choose from, all with different language combinations, experience and academic/professional qualifications. These are approximately 100 freelance professionals in over 20 countries, who work together with our six specialised Project Managers, each of whom are dedicated full-time to the specialism they offer.

Technical translation

Technical translation
In addition to a translation qualification, the assigned Project Manager will have a specific qualification and at least five years' experience in the technical-industrial field relating to the translation. Review will then be carried out by a second translator to detect any potential errors and to compare technical terms. This second review “filter” is absolutely essential for this type of project.

Legal translation

Los imperativos de la traducción jurídica
We have a department entirely devoted to this type of translation, led by one of Spain's most renowned legal and financial specialists. This quality guarantee is appreciated by the various law firms and notary public offices included in our client portfolio. Here, the review process carried out by a second translator is also essential.

Scientific translation

Scientific translation
We collaborate with some forty universities and approximately 200 research groups to translate academic and scientific studies and articles, for their subsequent publication in international journals. The main translator will be a specialist in the scientific area in question, with a minimum of 10 years' experience. Review is carried out by a second translator.

Sworn translation

Sworn translation
When presenting documents and certificates before public bodies, whether Spanish or foreign, it is sometimes necessary to provide an official translation carried out by sworn translators bearing the official stamp of the Spanish Ministry of Foreing Affairs, or an equivalent foreign entity. We also provide these services.

Literary translation

Literary translation
Translating literary texts can be as difficult as, if not more difficult than, writing the original text. Therefore, we only collaborate with translators who have had a minimum number of books published, both translations and originals. For this type of translation, at least two reviewers are necessary to ensure editorial quality of the work.

Academic review

Academic review
Over 300 authors have entrusted us with these services. To guarantee publication of the original work in a foreign-language outlet, a thorough review of both grammar and style, carried out by a native reviewer, is necessary. This task is even more complex than the translation itself and the translator-reviewer will have at least ten years' experience.

METHODOLOGY

Our translation agency, englishpanish, collaborates with approximately one hundred translators and reviewers from all over the world, with multiple language combinations and academic qualifications. This large, diverse network of languages and knowledge is, undoubtedly, a great advantage which sets us apart from other translation providers. Of course, this also means that a high level of coordination is required between the client, Project Manager and translators and reviewers who participate in the process. The result is a precise translation with a high-quality editorial finish. We invite you to discover how we work.
